Dear Penny: I love my gift. With all the gossip about "The Royals" and the inquest over the cause of Diana's death makes this especially neat to have in my possession. It is a great souvenir to have too. I have one from the Queen's coronation, her twenty-fifth Anniversary of her coronation and now this one of Charles and Diana. Thank you for thinking of me and sending a gift you knew I would be thrilled to receive. You a re a dear.
We so enjoyed seeing Lisa and Chris for lunch last Tuesday. We are thrilled that a baby is on the way. He or she will be another grandchild for us too. Lisa is like our own child and we love her very much. We love Chris too and feel God had a big hand in getting them together. Lisa needed a loving family and she got that when she married into the Tassara Family. Thanks for loving her so much and welcoming her into your fabulous family.
The children brought their wedding pictures and they brought back lots of wonderful memories. Don and I had such a great time and enjoyed being a part of the Tassara Family for those few fleeting days. We felt as if we had known you all forever. Hope they bring the video on their next trip.
Please keep us abreast of what's going on in your life and give our love to everybody in your family. Hope your children and grandchildren were able to be with you for the holidays. Ours were all here Christmas Day and at our son Bill and his wife Sheila's for Christmas Eve dinner. A great time was had by all.
Happy New Year to you Penny and all your family.
With love and thanks,
Beth Hair

I was so happy to find this web page with news of my family. I see that my father Hector Tassara is listed on the family tree, along with myself and my brother Jorge Tassara.
I would like to provide some information about my family. My father was married to my mother Loyda Yamile Isaias, who was born March 24,1919. She now lives in Caracas.
I was born on March 18, 1944 in Santiago, and now live in Houston. I am married to Steven Michael Wiese. Steven was born in Oakland California on February 2, 1952. I have one daughter named Claudia Andrea, who lives in Orlando, Florida. She was born October 6, 1970 in Caracas.
My brother was born in Santiago on January 24, 1952. He now lives in Caracas.
Best Regards to all.

I will remember the year 2004 for the rest of my life! Although everything is moving along smooth a lot is actually happening.
Marriage, Baby, House...not necessarily in that order :)
At the moment Teri and I are selling our house. We have purchased a new house already and are waiting patiently as it is built. It is supposed to be ready by mid december.
The Marriage planning is going smooth thanks to my parents. We just arranged a great duo of musicians to play during the wedding. The food should be great and with all the awesome company it should be real fun. My Aunt Rita and Julia, Uncle Tom, and cousin Greg from England will be attending. As a matter of fact it seems everyone will attending, every single RSVP is expected to be returned. Better order more cake!
Afterward, We have rented a house on the beach in South Mission Beach, San Diego to spend the rest of the week playing and having summer fun.
The baby, Laird Antonio Tassara, (Laird is Scottish for the word Lord, in the sense of kingship and status) (He is however named after the best big wave waterman in the world Laird Hamilton) was last seen during our ultrasound a few days ago warming up for a soccer match inside Teri's stomach. He is so active and Teri has begun feeling the baby inside throughout the entire day. As the baby seems to be resting at night we are hoping that he remains with this schedule.
I look forward to seeing all of you at the wedding!
Love, Marco
Teri Kim
As many of you know, Marco and I are on a whirlwind of change. We are
both so excited about our wedding and are looking forward to spending
quality time with friends and family. We are also looking forward to
our baby boy, who will be arriving in November. Marco is thrilled that
the baby is a Scorpio, and is hoping to share his birth date (November
9). That would be great for me...two birthday celebrations and only one
cake needed. I am looking forward to the Tassara family meeting the Kim
family. The Kim family may be small, but we are mighty. I look forward
to many more celebrations and sharing of the special times of our lives.

Hello Everyone! I'm so excited for all the events coming up. Wedding!
Births! Home Purchases! The Tassara family doesn't stand still. I love you
all and happy to here about all the things going on in everyone's lives. As
for us, we are doing well, working hard, playing hard, and living life. We
just bought our first rental property. Hopefully, many more to follow. I
have ordered my wedding album so when I get it I will bring it to the next
family gathering. I have been surfing more than I ever have which is a huge
difference. Surfing has really provided me with a great balance. I knew I
needed something to do to help deal with the daily challenges that life
brings your way. I can't wait to read what is going on with everyone. Love
you!

Heard about yours and Terri's great news, congratulations!
I know Mum and Dad are really looking forward to the wedding, you'll
have to post lots of pictures on the web.
Sorry, I've really got no time to write a bit for the newsletter at the
mo but I hope everyone's fine out there.
Thomas.

Hello,
Well, things with Lisa's pregnancy are going very well so far. She has
been very lucky not to feel sick. She has been having trouble sleeping
lately but, we just think the boy is just trying to get us used to things to
come. He has been very active in the belly, moving all the time. Especially
when I was screaming for the Lakers during the finals. He didn't like them
losing either, I think he's a fan already.
Anyhow, we are now about 6 weeks away from the due date and we have to
get prepared because it's coming very fast. He is due on August 16th, which
is my actual birthday so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Thank you all very much for the wonderful gifts we got for the baby
shower. This is a very spoiled boy already.
Can't wait to see everybody at the wedding and celebrate another chapter in
this family's lives. Bye for now.
Christian (future pop of Niko Marcelo Lobos)

This is very hard &you may not be able to do it but give it a try!
Take your time and see if you can read each line aloud without mistake.
The average person can't.
This is this cat
This is is cat
This is how cat
This is to cat
This is keep cat
This is an cat
This is old cat
This is person cat
This is busy cat
This is for cat
This is forty cat
This is seconds cat
Now go back and read the THIRD word in each line from the top down, and
I betcha you can't resist passing it on.

Hello, this is our first Tassara Newsletter. We are happy to join the community. We hope that you get to meet us through the distance. For that, we decided to include something about each family member.
Carolina
(oldest daughter; 28 years old):

Carolina is a Business Manager. She works in a house and hold manufacture company. Her main interests revolve around animals. With the help of her dad, she picks up homeless dogs so that they can become part of the family. For example; last week she took home a little brown puppy 8 months old, that was living outside a supermarket. She immediately took the puppy to the veterinary and after several revisions, “Letty” became the 8 th family member (Letty was named after princess Leticia of Spain). Now Letty lives happily together with her 7 other dog brothers in a farm like house located in La Reina ( Santiago ). (Carolina.jpg)
Carlos III
(Intermediate Son; 25 years old):

Carlos (TAZ) is an applied Business and Administration student. He enjoys sports, particularly soccer. Every weekend, he invites his pals over and plays “pichangas”. One of the things Carlos enjoys the most is editing videos. With the help of his MAC G5, Carlos is recovering old “Beta” tapes and transferring them it onto DVDs. Currently, he is working on a special family movie, in which, old footage is fully restored. (Tassara.jpg)
Paula
(Youngest Daughter; 22 years old):

Paula is a very rebel girl who loves to play the guitar, sing and dance “Cueca”. Last summer vacations, Paula went backpacking to the south of Chile , at a location called “Torres del Paine”. She also visited the beautiful glaciers down south. On her last vacation weekend she visited “Zapallar”, a beautiful beach located about 150 Km from Santiago . This beautiful place is evergreen and looks like a forest surrounded by native trees and beautiful houses by the sea side. This place resembles Rapallo , due to his history (battles took place here) and beautiful scenery. (Paula.jpg)
Fresia
(Mother; NN years):
Fresia works as a medical teacher of demography and biostatistics, at the University of Chile and on other private universities, such as Andres Bello. Fresia is part of a technological breakthrough in Chile , by becoming one the first faculty members to teach through the internet. We can say that she is very close to her sisters (6) and that she is always trying to maintain her family together. Her main hobby is gardening, an activity that has been with her for many years. She grows all types of plant species, especially vegetables, her favourite. With the vegetables she harvests every season, she makes delicious plates and all sorts of marmalades. (mom.jpg)
Carlos
(The grandfather; 82 years old) :

Chatting with him, I told him about the Tassara site. Since then, he began to remember old memories like when his great grand parents arrived to Chile in 1890´ and when his relatives opened a small store in the Port of Valparaíso . It is funny to see old pictures of him, his father and his brother, because they all used moustaches that had “wings”. (tata .jpg )
Mauricio (My brother; 55 years old);

He is a person fully dedicated to his business and to financial advising. I also showed him this site and met his “homonymous” Mauro. He felt envy when saw the pictures from Maui and hoped to live someday in a place like this (he will not practice surf, since he will be a little old by then) . (Mauricio.jpg)
Carlos
(Myself; 59 years old):
Few days ago, I have been in contact with Luis Tassara using the messenger program with the camera and the audio resource. It took us a while but finally we got in contact correctly. It immediately struck me that Luis was wearing a swimming suit while I was wearing a hat, coat and scarf. It is very pleasant to be in touch with somebody who is a relative that lives far away and with whom I have many things in common. Thanks to technology, we have been able to talk and see each other for hours. Now we can say that distance is not barrier (14,000 kilometers will not set us apart).
Hope to hear from everyone around the globe, Saludos para todos mis parientes y nuevos amigos,
Best wishes,
Tassara Family from Santiago.
Mauricio Tassara
This might be too late for the july newsletter, but here it goes.
Life has been pretty crazy lately with a new baby, but Kayla is the cutiest baby. She has started to smile and make sounds as if she is trying to talk. She holds her head pretty steady now and looks around all the time with those big round eyes. I think she looks a lot like paola as a baby sometimes, but she definitely has aldo’s eyelashes. Leandro is doing great and enjoying his preschool. He is talking so much these days and it is amazing to actually be able to understand what he is saying. He is communicating very well now and it gets better every day. Angela is doing well, although pretty tired from having 2 kids around when I am work. But she is very happy with her son and new baby girl. As for me, I really can’t complain, I have a wonderful wife that I love very much, a good job to be able to support them in everything in life. Work has been pretty good and hoping for some advancement soon. The only thing I can think of that hasn’t been good has been my knee injury this past april. I haven’t surfed for almost 3 months( longest stretch for about 6 years now). That has really been a bummer. It is feeling a lot better and actually pulled my board out to check and see if it needed any work before paddling out again. I need to get ready because I hope to surf with my sister and cousins in SD for Marco & Teri’s wedding if possible.
I hope all the family is doing well around the world. I have been enjoying the visits from other Tassara family members that we don’t even know. It is truly amazing what technology has done.
Keep up the good work marco, and everyone make sure and drop by the messageboard for a chat about whatever you want to talk about.
Aloha
Mauricio, Angela, Leandro, & Kayla Tassara

Summer has sprung into action out here on Maui. The island is packed with tourists enjoying their adventures in paradise.
The Diving has been incredible and continues to amaze me more and more everyday. Lately, I have been diving with over 60 Grey reef sharks. All babies about 2 feet in size. We have a Grey reef shark nursery just off “Reef’s End” (dive site) at Molokini Crater.
It sure is a treat when the “momma grey” shows up every so often, she’s about 8 feet long and gearthy, very gearthy. She gives me the “willies” but that’s what it’s all about. Last week, a 20 foot Oceanic Manta Ray decided to pay me a visit. I was all by myself in the deep blue and it continued its approach and stayed with me for a total of 8 minutes. It was by far the most incredible experience I have had, lately….jajajajaja.
Business is going great. More and more people visiting the island and interested in the undersea world. I started DIVETV last year and just now am starting to get feedback from everyone. People on island are stoked to see what is happening beneath the surface.
We are making our transition to DVD’s and it has been a bit of a struggle since we are ahead of technology due to the demand. It is very exciting to move forward in this world of technologies. A lot has been going on this year and will continue to enhance our lives. Our family seems to be growing more and more everyday. From newborns to family members abroad. It’s exciting to hear the enthusiasm for the opportunity that Marco has created for us to come together and share our lives no matter where we are on this amazing planet. Someday I will be emailing you guys from the depths of our beautiful ocean.
That’s all for now and am looking forward to the next newsletter.Maybe we can get a chat room going on the site so that we all may chat together…..just an idea.
“Aloha” to all my beautiful family and “ahui hou”.
