Hi There,
Oh we do miss you!!!!
It was wonderful to see you all again and to spend some quality time
with you.
For our part, the wedding was a great success and we had a terrific
time. A special thank you Marco, for the very professional video you
shot of the wedding. It will be something for us to treasure for ever
and we can't wait to get our copies.
We loved being in London with you guys and to simply hang out with
you. Did England live up to Teri's expectations?
After you left we spent a great time in the Lake District with your
mom and dad and Auntie Julia. I never realized we had such spectacular
scenery in our own country. It is just breath-taking. We took a pleasure
trip in a boat around a lake, ate and drank, had a very scenic trip
on a bus, ate and drank, saw the house where William Wordsworth (the
famous poet) used to live and compose his poetry, ate and drank, went
to the theatre, ate and drank, went fell walking, ate and drank, shopped
'til we dropped and by the way, did I mention that we ate and drank?
Now you have all left us and we are back to boring normal. We do hope
your mom has a terrific birthday and that next week, Paola has as special
a wedding as our own dear daughter, Keely had. She and John seem to
have spent a very memorable and happy honeymoon in Canada and Mexico
so that's good.
We hope to see you all again in the near future to repeat all the very,
very, good times together.
Hugs and Kisses to All our Friends over There.
Affectionately Tom, Rita, Keely, John, Thomas and Katherine -x-

We all came back from England with a tan! Yes its true, the weather there averaged
78-82F / 25-27C. It was my first time visiting England during the Summer months
and it made for a much more pleasent experience.
Keely and John had a beutiful wedding in an old church near and dear to the families
heart. I took video of the whole wedding and will be editing it for everyone
to see and share in the experience.
The wedding ceremony soon turned into a fancy
feast with Lamb as the main course and deserts to follow. Soon after that the
speeches began and then the dance floor got boogying untill the wee hours of
the night. The next day John and Keely left on their honeymoon to Canada for one
week then
Mexico for another week.
Teri and I had a fun filled two weeks site seeing the South East of England in
and around Julias House. Which by the way has been under construction by the
MIGHTY GRAHAM (Despite his tooth ache). Phrine, Teri, and I really like Graham
(Julias
slave)
and
are equally impressed with all the work he has done with the house. Together
they
are turning Julias house into something like a resort and it looks great. Once
the web cam is set up in the bar we'll have a cyber party.
After the wedding Teri and I took off to London for four days and walked untill
we dropped. We took "The Tube" Londons underground railway everywhere. And really
started to feel like a local after a short time. But by walking around everywhere
saying "Mind the Gap" every few minutes I think we gave ourselves away. "Mind
the Gap" is heard throughout the underground as you board on and off the train
over the gap along the side.
My parents, Phrine and Vincent, Tom and Rita showed up for two days in London
and shared in the times. It was loads of fun.
A few days into our London trip Teri and I met up with our friends
Madaline and Olaf who flew with us back to their apartment in Brussels,
Belgium. Brussels is beutiful and I strongly recomend going there if
you get a chance. It neighbors France and is obviously influenced since
French is spoken 90% of the time. The French sure know how to eat!
They celebrate food and treat it as an art (like me). The cheese, vegetables,
bread, meats, and seafood readily availible everywhere is 1000X times
the quality we have here. After all the whole reason they celebrate
food so much is because food there is so good. After having a chicken
raised
on
a farm
eating worms and what not you realize that whatever we are eating here
isn't chicken!
As you would all expect I ate my way through Europe!
We spent the last remaining days of our trip driving aimlessly lost
around England. We visited Cambridge, Olivia and Max's house (which
was also restored beutifully) and shopped around town.
Overall we had a great time and it was lovely having Phrine and Vincent
with us too. Vincent really built a relationship with Gregory which
is what I wanted to happen...cousins. I'm sure I have missed people
and places but I don't want to babble on too much.
Thank you again Auntie Julia and Graham, Gregory you Rock!, My good looking
Uncle Tom and Rita- remember the Tapas, Thomas and Kathrine forever!,
Bon Jour Madaline and Olaf, Olivia and Max a room is ready here when
you are, Tony Blair better get his Resume in order, The Queen "I love
you baby".
Keely and John- I wish you all the happiness the world has to offer.
Your wedding was amazing and I will remember it forever. Thank you for
inviting Teri and I and letting us share in your special day. You
have an open invitation here anytime. Love you both and John "Welcome
to the Family". (now gather all your family tree information
and send it over!!!)

Marco and I have just come back from England and
Brussels. The weather was exceptional throughout the entire trip, and rained
only once for just a few hours. The trip was especially poignant because
we were able to spend quality time with Penny's side of the family in England.
Keely and John's wedding was beautiful and festive, including the men in
kilts, the tasteful lamb dish, and the rich fruit cake, which is the traditional
wedding cake in England.
The highlights of the trip were Cambridge, Brussels,
London and all the quaint towns along England's vast countryside. Our original
plan
was to stay in London for four days, but we discovered we still had a
lot more to do and see. Upon our return from Brussels, we went back to
London for one more day. Brussels was a magical place where both Flemish
and French are the national languages. And of course, we did indeed have
mussels in Brussels. Actually, I enjoyed a large crock of mussels while
Marco feasted on steak with mushroom sauce.
My fondest memory is our day
trip to Cambridge, where upon our arrival, Marco and I dined at an Indian
restaurant, strolled alongside the waterways,
found a lush patch of grass to take a nap, wok up and rejuvenated with
a cup of Starbuck's coffee, and then drove back.

Back from Jolly Old England, we had a glorious time.
We arrived Thursday picked up our Rental car and almost made it to Tom's.
We had to call them from a pub 2 miles from the house to come and get
us, there were just so
many
round-a-bouts we got lost but it did give us all a chance to have a pint
together.
We picked up rest of family next day at Heathrow airport, they all arrived
safely.
Friday we went to Wivenhoe for fish & chips outside another pub by
the water, then on to the coast to show them where we had spent our vacations
as children in
Walton-On-the-naze, Frinton, and Clacton. We stopped and had tea and
scones on the naze at a tea house that was there since the 1940's right
on the
beach.
That night Phrine went out on the town with Olivia, Tito and I went to
a wonderful wedding at a huge country home miles out in the forest.
The next day was Keely's wedding. We had marvelous weather that day.
The ceremony was at a 1100 century church in a little village called
Waltham.
The
reception
was at country
club where we all danced including Vincent until 1.00am. The wedding
was a great success.
Tuesday we were off to London-Westminster abbey, London Eye, Buckingham
Palace, War room, and the Red Fox Pub.
Next day we took the boat down the Thames to Greenwich and had lunch
at the pub. Phrine ,Vincent & I went to the Tower of London together.
Afterwards we all walked back by the Thames had drinks at the Anchor
(a very old pub on the
Thames) then walked to Saint Pauls .
As Marco and Teri left for Brussels; Tito, Phrine, Vincent, and I
left for Leeds Castle then on to Winchester where we stayed the night.
Winchester
used to be the Capital city before London until 1066. It was a very old
beautiful Cathedral and pretty town. We then went on to Stratford-on-Avon,
stayed the night, and went
to Warwick castle the next day where Vincent had lots of fun. He would
not stay in the haunted turret room when we took him, instead he turned
right around
saying
"I'm outa hear" and fled. No amount of cajoling would get him back.
Weather while we were in England was fabulous.
After the kids left we went with Tom, Rita, and Julia to the Lake District
where we stayed in a very nice guest house in Keswick. We did some hiking
much to the disgust of Julia who is afraid of heights and we were very
high up.
Spectacular
views while hiking to a Tarn (a mountain lake). Most gorgeous scenery
we had all ever seen. We are all determined to return as there is so
much to
see. We saw only 2 of the 16 lakes.
We'll we are all back now and looking forward to the wedding which made
the decision to return easier.

Aloha
I would like to start off by saying congratulations to my parents Roberto and
Dafne Lobos who will have been married for thirty-nine years on the 31th of October.
Wow, how has my dad done it? Ha, Ha, Ha, Just kidding. I love you both and congrats.
While
on the marriage subject, I am very excited to attend Chris' and Paola's wedding
next week and look forward to seeing everybody, including
Da Hui Boys, together again and CELEBRATING and EATING like we do best.
As
for myself, I have finally sold my first home. It has had so much love
and care put into it and I am definitely going to miss it. It was
not easy to sell but it seems like things are finally going through.
The home was a great investment and has allowed me and my wife, Lisa,
to buy a beautiful home with more space and a pool, very refreshing during
the Summer months.
That is all for now. Looking forward to reading all
your stories

The month of October will have a lot going on for sure.
Paola's wedding is
right around the corner. That is gonna be a great time. My little sister
is
getting married, wow, don't think it will really hit me till that day.
Congrats to you both. We will be moving at the end of the month to a
bigger
place. We are not moving very far. Still about 5 minutes from the ocean
in
south Torrance. As most of you know by now, we are expecting another
addition to our little family. Angela is about 2 1/2 months pregnant,
so a
bigger place was needed. We are very happy. Leandro gives kisses to Angela's
ever growing belly already, and knows there is a baby in there. It is
not
very big yet, but it is showing signs of growth. Work has been really
good
for me, They have been giving me my opportunity to make the next step
up.
Soon you will see some of my work on the TV. I have been working on TV
commercials for Miller Beer, Dodge trucks, McDonald's, TV show "The
Sopranos", "Cold Case", and a couple others. FINALLY................
Soon
the winter swells will be coming back to my neck of the woods. I can't
wait. A few days of snow boarding sound real nice right about now.
I hope
to you see you all soon, and hope that all is well with you.
